Individual Counselling

Typically, clients meet with a counsellor on a one-to-one basis in a safe, confidential, and inviting environment. The focus is on the clients’ concerns, issues, and goals. Individual counselling is helpful for a variety of different mental-health reasons, including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, grief, and gender identity, to name just a few, and to improve clients’ mental health, self-awareness, and wellness. The duration of each treatment session is typically 50 minutes, but this time can vary depending upon the individual client’s needs. Clients who travel a distance for counselling support might wish to book a 75-minute appointment.

Wade’s counselling approach is to ignite hope in the lives of the individuals whom he counsels. Wade understands that his role is to facilitate changes that will help his clients to respond adaptively to life’s challenges. He develops goals with each client and commits to reviewing those goals in each client session. From the moment that clients consent to treatment to the termination of the counselling alliance, Wade provides the support that they require.
