I provide two distinct pathways for professional growth: Clinical Supervision for overall practice development and EMDR Consultation for specialized mastery of EMDR therapy. While both foster excellence, they differ in clinical focus and legal responsibility.
Clinical Supervision for Therapists
I offer evidence-based, respectful, and collaborative clinical supervision infused with diversity. Clinical supervision is interaction with a senior colleague – a mentor, or someone who provides support and a trusting relationship. These sessions offer opportunities to discuss personal needs that arise during sessions and to develop a plan to maintain inquisitiveness and support for clients.
I have formal training in this area and meet regularly with a qualified professional. I hold the Approved Clinical Supervisor (RCC-ACS) designation. In this role, I assume clinical and legal responsibility for your work, providing oversight of your caseload to ensure ethical standards and quality of care. If you’re interested in a supervisory relationship with a therapist who shares your treatment philosophies, let’s discuss this opportunity.
EMDR Clinical Consultation
As an EMDRIA Approved Consultant™, I offer specialized consultation for clinicians seeking to master the Standard 8-Phase Protocol and AIP model. Unlike supervision, EMDR consultation is a collaborative peer relationship where the consultee retains full clinical and legal responsibility for their clients.
Our work focuses on:
- Skill Mastery: Deepening your application of the 8 phases and 3-pronged approach.
- Certification Hours: Providing the 20 hours of consultation required for EMDRIA Certification.
- Case Conceptualization: Integrating trauma-informed AIP perspectives into complex cases.
I hold the EMDRIA Approved Consultant™ designation with the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). You can verify my credentials and learn more about EMDR standards through the EMDRIA Professional Directory.
