Wade’s priority is to model wellness with his clients. He understands diversity and inequality firsthand and has experienced the challenges that many marginalized clients such as those who are 2SLGBTQQIA+ face. Wade engages clients in a culturally responsive and socially just counselling process in which he pays attention to the social context of clients’ lives. He advocates for access to services, because social inequities limit these services and resources based on gender diversity, ethnicity, age, ability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and/or spirituality. Wade is a gender-affirming counsellor who is sensitive to the needs of clients in their diversity and assesses and evaluates clients who require this sensitivity.
